University of Leeds, Devonshire Hall
Fabrik were approached by the University of Leeds Facilities Directorate to produce an interior design scheme for their Devonshire Hall site.
The brief was to create a refreshed, modern scheme to roll out across the site, a self-catered student residence accommodating 592 students. A welcoming and homely feel was required which would appeal to a diverse spectrum of international tenants. The use of practical and hard-wearing finishes, fixtures and fittings was a key consideration, to ensure durability, in what can be a very demanding environment.
Fabrik were tasked with producing a wide-ranging Design Blueprint for the refurbishment. The documentation included schedules for fixtures, fittings and equipment, alongside typical plans, elevations and visuals for areas such as bedrooms, kitchens, bathrooms and common parts. A comprehensive Graphics Bank was also produced, covering all aspects of graphics and branding.
